Nominal capabilities are a guide. Part geometry, workholding and requirements are reviewed before the quotation is confirmed.
Parts suitable for CNC milling
Milling produces flat surfaces, pockets, slots and part contours. Typical enquiries include mounting plates, pocketed bodies, housings and fixture components. For plastic injection mould machining, the review starts with geometry, material and the requirements of the working surfaces.
Tolerances, bores and workholding
Identify dimensional and geometric tolerances, surface roughness and datum surfaces on the drawing. H7 bore requirements are reviewed individually against material and tool access. Machine travels do not automatically define the maximum part size: workholding, orientation and tool length affect the usable machining envelope.
Preparing a CNC milling enquiry
Send the STEP model with a dimensioned PDF, material grade and quantity for each part. Mark threads, deburring requirements and any critical areas. Include turning operations in the same enquiry where required. Cost depends on stock, programming, setups and machining time; the final quotation follows technical review.

What to send for a complete quotation
A consistent document package helps us confirm operations, price and lead time.
Upload your project- STEP model and dimensioned PDF; DXF for flat parts where available.
- Material grade, thickness or stock size, and quantity.
- Tolerances, threads, visible surfaces and finishing requirements.
- The complete operation sequence, drawing revision and requested lead time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I request CNC milling for a prototype?+
Yes. Send the geometry and quantity, including a single-part request. Setup and programming are included in the quotation, and feasibility is reviewed before production is confirmed.
What if I only have a sketch?+
You can request 3D design. Provide dimensions, the function of the part and interfaces with other components. Documentation and manufacturing requirements are agreed before machining.
