Functional surfaces and features
Holes, bores and pockets can perform different assembly functions. The drawing should identify functional dimensions, datums, tolerances and surface roughness. For pockets and slots, include depths and internal radii, which affect tool access and selection.
From geometry to quotation
For a similar component, send STEP and PDF files, material grade, quantity and any subsequent operations. Workholding and operation sequence are established after part review. The photographed parts do not imply a material, size or tolerance specification for a new order.
