Your account
Registration uses your name, email and password, plus optional company and phone details. Passwords are stored as hashes, never plaintext. Google sign-in, when enabled, provides an identifier, name and email; we do not receive your Google password. Existing ChatGPT-linked accounts remain accessible separately. Accounts are not automatically merged solely because they share an email address.
Drawings, estimates and confirmations
We store uploads, filenames, part configurations, contact details, estimates and technical choices. Archive extraction and PDF/DWG text reading run in your browser; the files and relevant extracted text are sent to the site for your request. File access is checked on the server. After your confirmation, the quotation and files are sent to info@lasermet.ro; large files may be provided through private links that expire after 14 days.
Purposes and legal bases
Information needed for quotations and accounts is processed for the pre-contractual steps you request and, where applicable, contract performance. Essential security and abuse-prevention data is processed for the legitimate interest of protecting the service. Commercial documents are retained for applicable legal obligations. Newsletters and publication of reviews rely on separate, withdrawable consent.
Newsletter and VIP discount
Subscription is optional and not required for an account or quotation. We record your email, optional name, date, notice version and subscription confirmation. The 5% discount activates after email confirmation. Unsubscribe using the email link or by contacting info@lasermet.ro. Withdrawal stops commercial messages and VIP eligibility for new quotations.
Providers and recipients
The site uses Sites hosting and Cloudflare services for data and files. External sign-in and email delivery involve the providers enabled for those functions, with data limited to authentication or delivery needs. Project files are available to the LaserMet team for review. We do not sell personal data or publish customer drawings. Where a provider involves transfers outside the EEA, these must comply with GDPR transfer safeguards.
Retention and your rights
Account data and requested history are retained while the account is used and projects are being handled. You may request account closure and file deletion; only information needed for legal obligations or the defence of rights will be retained separately. Deletion is handled through info@lasermet.ro; automatic deletion after a fixed period is not yet implemented. Subject to applicable law, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, withdrawal of consent and complaint to ANSPDCP. Identity verification may be required. Automated estimates do not decide production acceptance; a person reviews this.
