One part, at a 1:1 scale
Export the geometry of a single part per file. Dimensions, notes and drawing borders should not form part of the cutting contour. Work at full size and declare the unit of measurement. If the file does not include it, select the unit in the configurator before calculating.
Closed contours, without overlaps
The outer contour and internal cut-outs must be closed. Remove duplicate lines and check intersections. The configurator analyses lines, arcs, circles and 2D polylines. Blocks, unsupported entities, open contours or ambiguous geometry require technical review.
Material is part of the specification
Two parts with the same outline may have different requirements if their material or thickness differs. Specify the grade, thickness and quantity for each part. Do not infer thickness from a 2D drawing: select it separately. Add required tolerances and additional operations in the notes.
Check the preview
Compare the displayed shape and dimensions with your design. If elements are missing or dimensions look unexpected, correct the file before calculating. The preview helps you check the drawing; it does not replace a manufacturing review. Try the workflow with the sample drawing on the quote page.
