Send the finished shape too

Upload a STEP model and dimensioned PDF drawing if available. Mark bend angles, directions and dimensions that matter in the assembly. If you also send a flat DXF, identify it as the same part and specify the document revision.

Specify material and requirements

Communicate the material, thickness and bend radius together. Show which surfaces are visible, where other components attach and which dimensions are critical. Not every detail needs identical treatment; explicit requirements make the review more useful.

Confirm the flat pattern before production

The flat pattern and feasibility are checked against the finished part and available tooling. Do not automatically apply the same allowance to every material or thickness. In LaserMet quoting, parts requiring bending go to technical review, even when the cutting operation could be estimated separately.

This guide describes the LaserMet workflow. Special requirements and feasibility are reviewed for each project.
