Why geometry matters
A part with many cut-outs can have the same area as a simple part but a different cutting path. LaserMet estimates use geometry extracted from the DXF and historical quotation references for the material and thickness combination. We do not use one universal price per kilogram for every shape.
Quantity and job preparation
Enter the quantity you actually need. Preparation is grouped by material and thickness, and the commercial minimum is €50 for the complete order, excluding VAT and shipping. This minimum does not apply separately to every part. The configurator shows any adjustment to the minimum as a separate line.
When an instant estimate is available
Automatic calculations are enabled for eligible DXF files in 2 mm S235 and 5, 6 or 8 mm S355. Materials, thicknesses or geometries without enough reference data require technical review. The same applies when you add bending, welding or finishing: an incomplete total is not shown as the price of the job.
Estimate versus confirmed quotation
An online estimate is a starting point. The firm price and lead time are confirmed after reviewing the drawing, sheet nesting and CAM operations. Saving a request does not release it to production. For complex projects, include all requirements in the initial package.
