Sheet format is not automatically the maximum part size. Orientation, process margins and manufacturing requirements are reviewed.
Steel grade and sheet thickness
State the design grade, such as S235JR or S355, thickness and quantity for each part. “Steel” without a grade is not a complete specification. If you supply the sheet, state its dimensions and condition. Material availability and any requested quality documents are confirmed with the quotation.
From a cut outline to a finished part
For a bent bracket, send the final shape as well as the flat pattern. For a welded assembly, include the assembly drawing and joint locations. Specify deburring, drilling, threading and coating when needed. Surface protection for outdoor parts is agreed against the project’s service conditions.
What affects steel laser cutting cost
Thickness, cutting path, number of cut-outs and quantity affect the quotation. Parts with the same weight can cost differently when their geometry differs. Upload a DXF for an estimate where sufficient data is available, then check the included operations. A single price per kilogram cannot automatically cover every shape and finish.

What is the maximum steel thickness?+
Laser cutting is available up to 12 mm on a nominal 3,000 × 1,500 mm sheet. Part feasibility is confirmed after geometry and process-margin review.
Can bending or coating be included?+
Yes. Select the operations and supply the requirements. Eligible estimates are shown separately; LaserMet validates the flat pattern, tooling, colour and final price.
